The Port Columbus chapter of AmSpirit Business Connections helps sales representatives, entrepreneurs, and professionals to succeed by creating a forum where they can exchange qualified referrals with other business professionals.
The focus of our organization is to give to others and to allow members to serve as a resource for their customers and clients. In doing so, AmSpirit members have the opportunity to meet other professionals they would not have otherwise met, while at the same time improving their business communication skills.
We limit membership to one person representing each business category. Membership dues are $50 per quarter. If you feel that you could be a strong contributing member to our chapter and your business category is not represented complete the form below and our membership chair will contact you.

AmSpirit Business Connections is a national organization that assists sales representatives, entrepreneurs, and professionals succeed by creating a forum where they can exchange qualified referrals with other sales representatives, entrepreneurs and professionals.

In our meetings we talk about the five primary benefits. We focus on these benefits each and every week.
The primary reason that people join AmSpirit Business Connections and the biggest benefit they receive are the new business referrals.
The second primary benefit is meeting people that you otherwise would not have met.
The third primary benefit is learning to serve as a resource for our customers and clients.
The fourth benefit is that we help each other develop our overall communication skills.
The quality of your referrals will be equal to your ability to communicate to your fellow members what type of opportunity will make a good referral for your business. Each week we work on giving messages and telling members what makes up a good referral for us. By doing this on a weekly basis we all become better communicators.
The final benefit is having the opportunity to give to other people. Networking is all about giving. The principal rule of networking is simply this: those people who give are the people who will get, and we find that on a consistent basis, the people who are giving the most referrals are the ones getting the most referrals.

To participate in AmSpirit Business Connections there is a one-time initiation fee of $210, which is payable with the membership application. After joining, there are ongoing membership dues of $60 per quarter.

AmSpirit Business Connections is similar to any other membership organization. The fees are used to support the membership. For example, a full time staff maintains chapter rosters and a membership web site, and also provides support materials on an ongoing basis to chapters and produces a monthly newsletter for each chapter. AmSpirit conducts activities on a periodic basis for members to gain additional information on networking as well as network with other chapters.

First, the Chamber of Commerce and civic organizations like Rotary are invaluable to the local community. AmSpirit Business Connections is different, however, in one simple fact: It is our primary purpose to assist our membership in generating business. With the Chamber and civic organizations like the Rotary, generating business is generally a secondary objective.
